December Monochromatic Card Class

Hello everyone! So nice of you to take the time from your busy schedules and come by for a quick visit.

Today I`m sharing with you another Monochromatic card class set. For this class we are using for our pink card, Bazzill's Iced Pink & Piglet; for our blue card, Bazzill's Starmist and another slightly darker blue, who's name fails me at this time; and the golden yellow card is Bazzill's Beeswax with a large dot paper from Pink Paislee; and lastly for the green, we are using Bazzill's Paulo Verde and Kraft. (I'm trying to learn and remember the names of all the Bazzill cardstock, that's why I'm listing all the names...lol)

So here we go. These are the four card we'll be making.

A little something for every one's styles, colour preferences and level of experience. I had a lot of fun making these cards. Sometimes, when you have to make cards with cardstock colours that look better online than in real, or you are more in the mood to work on a project rather than cards, it's not quite as fun to prepare for a class. But this time, I was in the mood for cards and the colours were great.

Let's start the card details from from left to right. So that means the pink card is first.

I must say that I loved tying this bow because of the kind of material this 1 1/2'' ribbon from May Arts is made of. I wish I had more of it in different colours and widths!

I was in the mood for colouring and ended using my watercolour pencils with a water brush afterwards. Stamps, inks, and dies used will be listed at the end of the post. Here are a few more shots from different angles.

Now, for the blue card.

My blade on my paper trimmer was beginning to go dull which created a little bit of a challenge to cut the tiles with clean edges on the inked and dry embossed cardstock. But with patience it worked.

Let's take a look at the golden yellow Beeswax card.

I love the Stacked Stars of the Die-Namcis' die used here for the first time. I thought that with this card people could add their own banner on the striped ribbon next to the stars to add to the ''happy'' by stamping either, birthday, anniversary, day, friends, etc., on it, or leave it just as it is.

Now the final card, the green one.

This card looks much better in real life. I normally don't care to stamp on Kraft unless I heat emboss, but in this case it worked out great to just stamp right on the Kraft that I used behind the green.

So, that's it for the December 2012 Monochromatic card class cards. Thank you for stopping by, and hope you found some inspiration here. Soon a new year will begin and another year of Monochromatic card to look forward to. (remember the 'bring to class list' is at the end)

Till next time, and happy Crafting!
