Spectrum Noir Christmas 2 - Bird & Dec 25th

Hi Everyone! Posting the two cards for the 2nd Spectrum Noir Christmas Card Class in October.

For the first time we'll be heat embossing an image and then colouring it. The stamp is Woodware's Christmas Date, and we'll be using gold embossing powder.

After colouring and cutting out the image, it is popped up over the My Favorite Things Sentimental Flourish Die-Namics, which also is popped up. So the image has two layers of foam dimensionals in order for it to be raised higher than the die cut flourishes.

The Spectrum Noir markers used for this card are : DG4, DG3, CG2, EB2, EB5, DR7, DR3, and the blender pen and palette.

This next card may look a little familiar to you. That's because I just designed a DT card for a challenge very much like it, here. I just used stamps available through the store were I work and some different papers.

This stamp is Penny Black's Nature's Best. The papers are from Graphic 45's 12 Days of Christmas 6x6 pad with the exception of the music paper. That is from an older Teresa Collins Christmas line. When fussy cutting the image after colouring, I cut parts off to better group the holly as you can see bellow.

I attached a section of Inkssentials metal foil adhesive tape sheet behind the image before cutting it out so that I could bend and shape the holly leaves better and give it a little more strength.

The Spectrum Noir markers used for this image are: EB2, EB1, EB5, EB7, EB8, TN7, TN8, DR7, DG3, DG2, CG2, DR3 and the palette.

Here is my practise sheet for the class.

Thank you for stopping by to have a look. Have fun making your Christmas cards!
